The Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey and Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, in collaboration with the NJSIAA, will be holding 10 events at schools throughout the state during the 2023-24 and 2024-25 school years to educate students on the risks of prescription opioids, as well as the importance of taking care of themselves physically and mentally. The events will be headlined by former Rutgers and NFL quarterback Ray Lucas, who will share his own experience of opioid addiction, which developed following his playing career.

For information on how to attend one of the events, contact Matt Birchenough at matt@drugfreenj.org.
